He took up photography to meet women.
He was divorced 3 times.
For a decade, he was Fidel Castro's personal photographer.
He changed his surname from 'Gutierrez' to 'Korda' because it sounded like 'Kodak.'
He smoked.
In 2000, he sued Smirnoff over the use of Che's image in a vodka ad despite his face being plastered on countless T-shirts, posters and mugs.

Why he might not be annoying:

His first wife, Natalia Melendez, was Cuba's first supermodel.
He took no royalties from most who reproduced Che's picture.
The financial settlement he received from Smirnoff was donated to the Cuban health system.
His shot of Guevara was called 'the most famous photograph in the world and a symbol of the 20th century.'
