Why they might be annoying:

She dropped out of Martha Washington College.
Because she and President Woodrow Wilson married so soon after the death of Ellen Wilson it was thought it would ruin President Woodrow Wilson's re-election chances.
She was the catalyst that broke President Woodrow Wilson's relationship with his most trusted advisor, Edmund House.
She hoodwinked congress and the public into thinking President Woodrow Wilson was suffering from exhaustion when in fact he suffered a severe stroke (October 1919).
She mislead the cabinet by forcing them to go through her to get to the president, claiming the answers were his verbatim, although they were hers.
When the Secretary of State Robert Lansing grew suspicious of her he held his own Cabinet meetings. This drew her ire and she called Lansing disloyal and called for his resignation.
She refused to accept British representative Edward Grey's credentials unless he removed his aide, who made jokes about her (September 1919).
Due to her not willing to allow President Woodrow Wilson to compromise, his League of Nations was not approved of by Congress.
President Woodrow Wilson died, she took full control of all his presidential documents and would only release those that were favorable and to whom she considered favorable people.
When Zanuck wanted a bio-pic of President Woodrow Wilson, she demanded and received full script approval. Geraldine Fitzgerald had to meet with her approval before she was allowed to portray her in the film.
She warned American soldiers on their way to WW I in Europe about VD.
She denied her friendship of Richard Nixon when she campaigned for John Kennedy.

She was one of the first woman drivers.
President Woodrow Wilson proposed marriage just three months after meeting her.
President Woodrow Wilson trusted her with wartime classified information and secret codes.
She helped the Red Cross during WW I.

Her last public appearance was the inauguration of President John F. Kennedy (January 20, 1961).
