Politician
    (April 16, 1963- )
    Born in Wood-Bridge, New Jersey
    Represented Maryland's 6th congressional district from 2013 to 2019
Announced his candidacy for the Democratic Party's Presidential nomination (July 28, 2017)
He ranked among the wealthiest members of Congress during his tenure.
He skipped running for a fourth term in the U.S. House to run for President (despite having an almost nonexistent chance of winning).
He has tried to have his cake and eat it too by claiming to be both a 'moderate' and a 'progressive' at the same time.
He was granted an inordinate amount of speaking time at a CNN Presidential debate, leading some to outwardly question why a guy polling at less than one percent was even allowed on the stage in the first place.
His stand-out moment came when he indirectly criticized opponents Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders for having platforms predicated on 'fairy tale economics.'
Warren proceeded to eviscerate him, shooting back: 'I don’t understand why anybody goes to all the trouble of running for president of the United States just to talk about what we really can’t do and shouldn’t fight for. I don’t get it' (Jul. 2019).
He met his wife while he was a student at Georgetown University.
He was the first Democrat to announce a 2020 run for President.
He was ranked high by goverment watchdog groups for his bipartisanship.
He received a top score of 100 from the Human Rights Campaign for his support of equality-related legislation.
He fended off a tough challenge from Dan Bongino, retaining his House seat by a narrow margin.
Before getting elected to Congress, he started a company to make loans available to smaller-sized health care service providers said to be ignored by larger banks.
