    Appeared in the films ‘American Graffiti’ (1973), ‘The Enforcer’ (1976), ‘Tenspeed and Brown Shoe’ (1980), ‘Apollo 13’ (1995), ‘Primal Fear’ (1996), ‘Hollywoodland’ (2006), and ‘Frost/Nixon’ (2008)
    Appeared on Broadway in ‘The Price’ (1992)
    He originally majored in pre-medicine before getting into acting.
    He was the voice for one of the animatronic figures at Chuck E. Cheese – specifically, Pasqually the Chef.
    His credits sometimes get confused with those of an Australian actor named Joseph Spano (no relation).
    He was a founding member of the Berkeley Repertory Theater.
    He appeared nude in a San Francisco production of ‘Oh, Calcutta.’
    He and his wife adopted two daughters.
