Why he might be annoying:

He repeatedly screamed 'Fuck the F.C.C.' over live radio air waves during a 1987 Howard Stern rally.
He looked like Mayor Ed Koch.
After he died his son said he was born in 1923 and not 1910.

Why he might not be annoying:

He used to buy ices for neighborhood kids during breaks in filming 'Car 54.'
At 93, his right leg (below the knee) and all the toes on his left foot were amputated. After the operation he joked the odds were 1000 to 1 against him in Las Vegas (September 2003).
