They lost their first two Super Bowl appearances by a combined 81-31.

Bill Parcells resigned as head coach after their Super Bowl XXXI loss to the Green Bay Packers (1997).
They let running back Curtis Martin get away.
They were caught filming and stealing signals while playing the New York Jets (September 9. 2007). For this infraction they were fined $250,000 and lose of a 2008 draft pick.
Why they might not be annoying
They have one of the NFL's more meaningful names, naming themselves after Boston's role in the American Revolution.
They had 11 players in the AFL's 1963 All Star Game.
They were considered underdogs in their first Super Bowl win.
After starting the season 2-2, including a 0-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills, they went on to win 12 straight games (2003).
Their fans love them so much that they'll sit in freezing weather to watch them play.
They have great rivalries with the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts.
Their consecutive win streak ended at 21 after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers (October 31, 2004).
