He is known as a very strict band leader.

He had a really goofy-looking frizzy hair do in the early 1970s.

He developed certain recording techniques called 'Frippertronics.'
He refuses to repeat himself artistically.
He runs his own label, Discipline Global Mobile.
He has performed with Peter Gabriel and David Bowie.
He is among the few rock musicians to wear glasses.
His wife, Toyah Wilcox, is also a musician.
