Why she might be annoying:

She was a woman of high society.
She married her husband when she was 17 and he was 27.
She suffered many illnesses during her time as First Lady and did not host many social functions.
She dressed in expensive French designer clothing.
She insisted every part of the meals served during social functions be French in some way.

Why she might not be annoying:

Though unknown at the time, the illness she suffered towards the end of her life was probably epilepsy.
One of her seizures caused her to land in an open fireplace and severely burn her skin.
While in France with her husband, she was able to secure the release of Marquis de Lafayette's wife from prison.
