Why he might be annoying:

He was the only US governor not to call for the repeal of UN Security Council resolution 3379, which equated Zionism with racism (1986).
He was the main adviser behind the 'no new taxes' pledge that came back to bite Bush in the butt.
He repeatedly used government military jets to travel to Republican fundraisers, skiing and golfing events and his dentist.
Shortly after that story broke, he took a government limo from Washington to New York to attend a rare stamp auction, then sent the limo back to DC empty while he took a flight on a corporate jet.
He is a fan of Zamfir.

He has a master's degree and a PhD in mechanical engineering from MIT.
He reportedly has an IQ of 180.
He served a chairman of the National Governors Association (1987-88).
He paid the government $47,000 as partial reimbursement for his military flights.
He said, 'We always made sure the President was hearing all the possibilities. That's one of the differences between the first Bush administration and this Bush administration (2005).'
