Why he might be annoying
The actual cause of his death is still debated.
Richard Matheson has suggested bromine poisoning from taking way too much Bromo.
His mother was mentally unstable. She dressed him as a girl and once killed his pet.
He had a freakishly high forehead.
As he approached death, he aged rapidly until he looked ninety.
He would allow himself to get backlogged with up to seven or eight jobs and then farm the writing out to various ghostwriters.
As his condition worsened, he would get writers to write 'Twilight Zone' scripts under his name, and only split money with them in private.
He smoked.
Why he might not be annoying
He is considered by some to be the best 'Twilight Zone' writer.
He wrote episodes for that series such as 'The Howling Man,' 'Long Live Walter Jameson,' 'In His Image' and 'Miniature.'
He sold 73 short stories and 68 TV scripts in fourteen years, in addition to books, film scripts and various newspaper stories.
He was a bibliophile.
His short story 'Miss Gentibelle' is a classic.
He died at 38, way too young.
