He hosted infomercials for SelectComfort, Russ Dalbey's Cash Flow and the Real Estate Secret.
He served four days in jail following his second DUI conviction (2008).
He was sentenced to 120 days home detention after another arrest in which his blood alcohol content measured 0.29, nearly four times the legal limit (2009).
He was fined $500 for leaving the scene of an accident (2010).
He was charged with committing felony fraud after a 'dine and dash' at a Mississippi restaurant (January 5, 2011).

He won a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Talk Show Host (1983).
He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He and Mobley co-hosted March of Dimes telethons.
The felony charges from the dine and dash were dismissed when the restaurant owner withdrew his complaint.
