Why she might be annoying:

She died at 25 years old, leaving her children without a mother.
However, some believe she faked her death and lived to 100 and died in 1884 (Dr. Grace Hebard).
The artist, Glenna Goodacre, who created the Sacagawea coined asked for her $5,000 payment in these coins.
She received the coins in uncirculated pristine condition and then sold them at a huge profit to collectors.
Randy'L He-dow Teton, a 22 year old New Mexican college student posed for the coin (1998).
No images of the real Sacagawea exist.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was kidnapped at 12 by the Hidatsa Indians.
She was sold as a slave to Toussaint Charbonneau, who took her as his wife.
Her name means 'bird woman.'
She spoke Shoshone and Hidatsa, her husband spoke Hidatsa and French so they acted as interpreters for French and English speaking Francois Labiche of the Lewis and Clark expedition.
She was the only women to accompany Lewis and Clark.
She also found roots and edible plants for food and medicines.
During a boat ride, where the boat almost sank, she remained calm and recovered and saved many of the supplies and important journals (May 14, 1805).
Many Native Americans did not attack Lewis and Clark because of seeing her with them (war parties did not travel with females).
She was so valued to the expedition, that on matters that were voted on, her vote counted as much as anyone elses.
For assisting on the expedition, Charbonneau was given $500.33 and 320 acres of land, she got nothing.
