Football Player

The Resume

    (May 22, 1986- )
    Born in Redwood, California
    Wide receiver and punt returner
Plays for the New England Patriots (2009 - )
Played for Kent State University, and later College of San Mateo
Drafted by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft
Suffered an injury to his fifth metatarsal on his left foot that required him to undergo foot surgery (Nov. 16, 2015)

Why he might be annoying:

He admitted to telling his friends and family not to ask him for Super Bowl tickets.
He shares a surname with an actor known for playing Bea Arthur's yutz ex-husband on The Golden Girls.
His nicknames include Incredelman, Minitron, Energy Bunny, and (his favorite) Squirrel.
His team websites have consistently misrepresented his height as 6'0 over the years, when he clams it is actually 5'10.
He shared an awkward moment with Malcolm Butler as presenters at the 2015 Grammy Awards.
Out of all his teammates, he probably has the largest share of Patriot Nation 'stan' groupies, after Rob Gronkowski.
Although, as far as we know, Gronk didn't bang one of said groupies; one who subsequently took a selfie with him sleeping in the background.
The groupie, Sabrina Dudish, proceeded to post it on Tinder with a caption, 'Just fucked Julian Edelman, no lie,' drawing the full out ire of the New England Patriots fan base (she has since been banned from all bars in Boston...)
The outrage directed at the girl obscured the fact that he, himself, had been arrested at a Boston bar in 2011, after being accused of groping a young woman and getting into a heated confrontation with her, on Halloween night.
He has a hyper-vigilant tendency to demonize people who criticize the Patriots, usually labeling them 'haters.'
Case in point, after kissing the Lombardi Trophy around the time of his 2015 Super Bowl win, specifically singling out ESPN analysts Trent Dilfer and Steve Young, calling Dilfer 'embarrassing' and Young 'a hypocrite' who 'just mad because he can't be Joe Montana.'
He came off as the most obnoxious Patriot during over the course of the #DeflateGate fall-out; sharing a bizarre 'Growing Pains' parody called 'Growing Pats,' wearing a Tupac 'middle finger' shirt during interviews, etc.
Some of his behavior has been known to irk even his own teammates, such as his scoring a running over to a Colts symbol on the Lucas Oil Stadium wall and nailing it with a football, to celebrate his scoring a touch down.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He looks like David Beckham.
He ranked #91 in the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2015.
He guest conducted a Boston Pops concert.
He is half-Jewish on his father's side, but is a devout follower of the Jewish faith.
He is notable for his versatility, such as being able to play both wide receiver and cornerback.
His stylistic similarities to former teammate Wes Welker earned him the nickname 'Welker's Mini-Me.'
He holds the Patriots franchise record for longest punt return and the most punts returned for touchdowns.
He had to sit out his first NFL game against the Buffalo Bills due to an ankle injury.
He later broke his arm in a 2009 Tennessee Titans game, costing him the chance to accompany the team on their trip to London.
He holds the highest career punt return average among active players, as of 2015.
