Why Kent State Incident might be annoying
The U.S. government claimed that outside agitators caused the incident, yet all thirteen victims were full time students.
Scheuer and Schroeder, who were shot dead, were not part of the protest, they were just watching.
America was mostly shocked that the dead included females in middle America.
The student protesters were not totally innocent, since they burned down the ROTC building and were hurling rocks, provoking the National Guard.
Why Kent State Incident might not be annoying
This was a major incident that united many Americans to seriously question their government.
The questions included why would the National Guard be dispatched to a college and how could Americans kill other Americans?
This incident sparked the first national collegiate strike.
