Why he might be annoying
He's a flagrant self promoter.
On December 14, 2003, in a game against the New York Giants, he pulled a cell phone from underneath the goal post and made a cell phone call after scoring a touchdown.
The incident was premeditated, and was likely a ploy to get an endorsement deal.
He was fined $30,000 for the incident.
The fine was only a minute fraction of his yearly salary.
He's not among the best receivers in the NFL.
He was drafted out of junior college.
Why he might not be annoying
Saints coach Jim Haslett scolded him severely for the cell phone incident.
Before coming to the NFL, he washed dishes and worked in a furniture factory to support his family.
He was a star in track and basketball in high school.
He's fast, agile, and runs routes well.
He's had 3 seasons with over 1000 yards receiving.
