They showed up drunk to many of their performances.
They were kicked out of their first show for being drunk.
They often performed too drunk to play their own songs.
They named one of their albums after a Beatles album.
Their original name was Dogbreath, they then switched to the Impediments.
Bob Stintson left the band in 1987 due to substance abuse (eventually leading to his death in 1995).
They are often confused with the band that does the theme song for King of the Hill (Refreshments).
Why they might not be annoying
They toured with Tom Petty and R.E.M.
All the members of the band had successful solo careers.
They did not like MTV.
They were one of the first mainstream punk bands.
They were compared to the Ramones and Husker Du.
