Football Coach
    (October 7, 1961-July 22, 2018)
    Born in West Haven, Connecticut
Head coach of the University of New Haven (1997-98) and the Miami Dolphins (2008-11)
His team's productivity slowly declined during his tenure as Dolphins coach.
Despite having to wear sunglasses for medical reasons, he is frequently the butt of jokes by broadcasters who are unaware of the situation.
He was under heavy scrutiny after the Dolphins were talking to other coaches while he was still under contract after the 2010 season ended, leading to speculation that he would be fired.
He watched his team go 1-7 at home during the 2010 season.
His teams are prone to inconsistency and long losing streaks.
He was nearly blinded after he had his eyes burned with hot grease while working in a fast food restaurant, which severely affected his vision, which is why he wears sunglasses at night and indoors.
He guided the Dolphins from a 1-15 record in 2007 to an 11-5 record the following season.
Despite the barrage of rumors he received about his job, he didn't take them seriously.
He narrowly missed Coach of the Year honors, losing to Mike Smith by one vote (2008).
He was recommended for the Dolphins head coaching job by Bill Parcells, whom he worked under in Dallas.
