Why he might be annoying:

When Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975 he was asked to stay but quit, citing exhaustion.
After he left Fleetwood Mac promptly proceeded to become phenomenally successful.
His power trio group Paris cut two albums in 1976 that went nowhere and the band disbanded.
His first solo single, 'Sentimental Lady,' was a remake of his from the 1972 Fleetwood Mac album 'Bare Trees.'
In 1994 he sued his former band, claiming he was underpaid royalties while with them, the case being settled out of court.
This caused a rift he felt when he was the only former or current Fleetwood Mac member not invited when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (1998).

Why he might not be annoying:

His father Robert Welch was a successful producer for Paramount Pictures in the 1940s and 1950s.
Mick Fleetwood stated he was the glue that kept Fleetwood Mac together during the lean early 70s years.
His first solo album, 'French Kiss' (1977) went platinum, and his 1979 follow-up '3 Hearts' went gold.
Several Fleetwood Mac members lent their talents to his first two albums.
He overcame a 1980s heroin addiction.
