Once a peaceful multi-ethnic/religious country, its people's tolerance toward different beliefs and backgrounds is almost non-existent since Serbia's attempt for 'ethnic cleansing.'
Its people do not appreciate it when people wear shoes in their house. Slippers are often provided to guests.

Many of its people are poverty stricken.
Due to its fight for independence, it has become a victim of civil war against the Yugoslavian Serbs.
Its most popular sport is basketball.
