Why she might be annoying
All three of her 3 major titles are at the same tournament.
She is retiring from professional golf at forty-five, a relatively young age for a golf legend (2002).
Her fan base ripped off Arnold Palmer's 'Arnie's Army,' to give themselves 'Nancy's Navy.'
She is the first to shoot 4 rounds in the 60s at the US Women's Open, but still lost, and cried about it (1997).

Why she might not be annoying
She won the New Mexico Women's Amateur at twelve, against adult golfers (1969).
After being turned away for an autograph request by a PGA Tour player as a young girl, she has made it her mission to sign all autographs and be kind to the fans.
In her rookie year (1978), she won 5 tournaments in a row.
Her first and last LPGA victories were nearly 20 years apart.
She once had her clubs stolen before a tournament in the 80s, making her go to K-Mart, buy a set, and win that week.
In her final season (2002), she led the LPGA in fewest putts per round.
She will miss her fans the most when she retires.
She broke many barriers for Mexican-American athletes.
