Created Dilbert in 1989, left his job in 1995 and has been working on the strip ever since.

Why he might be annoying:

He has gone so far in capitalizing on Dilbert that he created 'dilberitos.com' which is part of 'Scott Adams Foods.'
He is a certified hypnotist.
'Dilbert' was a name suggested by a co-worker.
His Pacific Bell business card referred to him as an engineer even though he isn't one.
He is a vegetarian. His cartoon 'Dilbert' was dropped by many publishers after he stated that blacks were a 'hate group' and urged white people to 'get the hell away' from black people (this was in response to a survey which showed only 53% of American blacks agreed with the statement 'it is okay to be white'.) (February 2023)

Why he might not be annoying:

His strip pokes fun at bad management.
He used Dilbert in business presentations.
He writes an online newsletter that has hundreds of thousands of readers and is mostly devoted to true stories of dumb people.
During his time at Berkeley, he worked numerous white-collar jobs including computer programming and financial analysis.
