He spent the majority of his prime years on a mediocre Atlanta Flames team.
He didn't begin playing pro hockey until the age of 12.
He was considered a goon.
He never played a full NHL season.
He recorded over 2500 career penalty minutes.

He was the first NHL player born in the Southern Hemisphere.
He was the Flames all-time franchise leader in points during the team's tenure in Atlanta.
He was the second Flame to win the Calder Trophy.
He scored the clinching goal which helped the Flames win their first playoff series based in Calgary (1981).
He made his permanent residence in Atlanta after the Flames relocated to Calgary.
