The Resume

    (July 26, 1924-June 15, 2017)
    Born in Waurika, Oklahoma
Worked for the FBI and CIA
Founded the security consulting firm McCord Associates
Electronics expert during the Watergate break-ins (May 28 and June 17, 1972)
Served 69 days of 1-5 year sentence for burglary, conspiracy and violating laws regulating wiretapping

Why he might be annoying:

The first bug he installed failed, forcing a second break-in at the Watergate, during which the burglars were caught.
During the burglaries, he covered locks at the Watergate with duct tape, which was discovered by guard Frank Wills, who called in the police.
Some conspiracy theorists think he deliberately screwed up as part of a CIA plot to bring down Richard Nixon.
He later became an athletic booster for the University of Michigan, and got the school in trouble by giving money to athletes.

Why he might not be annoying:

He worked in a counter intelligence operation targeting German spies during WWII.
He was a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserves.
He wrote a letter to Judge John J. Sirica admitting he and the other Watergate burglars had committed perjury under pressure from the White House.
