Why they might be annoying
They were one hit wonders.
They turned down an offer from Otis Redding to record the hit 'Sweet Soul Music.'
After serving time for tax evasion and filing for bankruptcy, Whitehead released a solo album titled 'I Need Money Bad.'
Why they might not be annoying
They started as backup singers for Otis Redding.
In addition to their own hit, they wrote 'Back Stabbers' for the O'Jays, 'I'll Always Love My Mama' for the Intruders and 'Bad Luck' and 'Wake Up Everybody' for Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes.
