Why he might be annoying:

After eating his pies, college students used to throw the tins at each other.
Some people actually got hurt when the heavy tins hit them.
He didn't invent the Frisbee, but it is named after him.
The flying disc toy is spelled slightly different ending in a double e rather than 'ie.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He sold a lot of pies to Yale University students in New Haven, Connecticut.
The aerodynamics in his pie tins gave college students something to play with after eating the pies.
This influenced the Wham-O Toy Company to name their flying saucer toy after him (January 13, 1957).
The Frisbee did so well for Wham-O, they wanted another hoop like toy and it spawned the hula hoop (1959).
