Why she might be annoying:

She used her husband's position in the government as a way of gaining limitless credit from creditors.
When Abraham died, she went into extreme poverty, unable to pay for her exorbitant lifestyle and debts.
Her husband threatened to commit her into an insane asylum several times, but never did because he was afraid of what the public's opinion would be.
Three of her four children died before adulthood (all but Rob Lincoln). Rob had her committed.
She was truly crazy, often hearing voices and paying maids to watch her as she slept, since she was afraid of being alone.

Why she might not be annoying:

All of her children died and she had to witness her husband die in front of her.
She had at least ten different ailments that went undiagnosed due to nobody believing her, which lead to an extremely painful lifestyle.
Some say her insanity was sparked by a brain defect that occurred after she fell out of a carriage at top speed and hit her head hard on a rock.
She died completely alone and betrayed by her only son and family contact.
