Forward for the Anaheim Ducks (1997-98) and the Columbus Blue Jackets (2000-04)
Why he might be annoying
His nickname 'Shampoo' is a result of his father being a hairdresser.
His lone All-Star Game appearance was the result of an injury to Jere Lehtinen.
He is known as the player who shot the puck that deflected into the stands, killing 13 year old Brittanie Cecil (2002).
His NHL career never recovered from the incident.
He split the 2003-04 season between the NHL, AHL and the Swedish Elite League.
Why he might not be annoying
He was a member of the inaugural Blue Jackets roster.
He is the first Norwegian born player to play in the NHL All-Star Game.
He was given a second chance at an NHL career when he signed with the expansion Blue Jackets.
Following the death of Brittanie Cecil, he helped set up a foundation in her honor.
He is considered one of the greatest hockey players to come from Norway.
