Won ‘Best in Show' at Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show (February 13-14, 2006)
Breed: Colored Bull Terrier

Typical of bull terriers, he has a strange egg-shaped head.
He's not likely to become as famous as other celebrity bull terrier Spuds McKenzie.
His handler almost passed out from the pressure of the show and handling Rufus.
He shares names with two musical groups Rufus and Ruffus.

He is the first Bull Terrier ever to win ‘Best in Show' title at Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
He won his title despite the presence of fancier breeds being shown.
He overcame a close race with a Dalmatian, a rottweiller and a pug.
Although his breed is known for their hot temperaments, Rufus was well behaved.
He won his title because he fit the Bull Terrier breed standard, not because of cuteness.
