Why they might be annoying
They are a two-hit wonder, although 'Unbelievable' has since eclipsed everything else they ever released.
'Unbelievable' was played to death upon release.
It was widely speculated that their name stood for 'Ecstasy Mind Fuckers.'
They wore baggy shorts and sideways baseball caps.
Yoko Ono objected to their second single, 'Lies,' which contained a voice sample of Mark David Chapman. An edited version was eventually released.
Their popularity was short-lived. 5 years and a string of poorly received singles after their initial success, they finally broke up.
Bassist Zac Foley was known to be able to stretch his foreskin over limes.
Why they might not be annoying
'Unbelievable' was an international smash hit on release, and has been called one of the catchiest debut singles ever.
Their album 'Schubert Dip' is certified platinum.
All the members were veterans of their local music scene prior to forming the band.
They still have a surprisingly large and devoted fanbase.
Shortly after completing a reunion tour in 2001, bassist Zac Foley died suddenly of an unknown cause.
They ranked #31 on VH-1's '100 Greatest One Hit Wonders.'
