    He chose to stay out of advertising wars with rival breweries, and the Coors brand suffered for it.
    He defeated unionism at the Coors Brewery, causing a severe boycott from union leaders and members.
    He disrespected black business leaders by telling them that 'the best thing [whites] ever did for you was to drag your ancestors over here in chains.'
    He was fined for a toxic spill cover-up, when the brewing company polluted Clear Creek.
