He thinks America's cultural values are in decline and gets paid to lecture on the world's sins and vices.
Unlike many fellow right-wing activists, he doesn't see gambling as a 'vice' or 'sin,' leading many to think that he's a hypocrite.
He seems to be a cranky old man.

Many of his books have reached the New York Times bestseller list.
He provides entertaining commentary when he makes appearances on the various cable news networks.
He has said to have written or edited a number of George W. Bush's speeches.
