The North Stars' owners bought the Cleveland Barons in order to add their players to the North Stars.
The Minnesota North Stars never won a Stanley Cup.
The North Stars lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins 8-0 in the 1991 playoffs, which eliminated them.
They were forced to move the team due to financial difficulties which 'were never really addressed.'
The history section on their website has nothing to do with the Minnesota North Stars or the Dallas Stars, but with an old AHA (American Hockey Association) team, the Texans, being based out of Dallas.
Two of hockey's prettier boys, Mike Modano and Jason Arnott, play for them.
Why they might not be annoying
They were one of the six NHL expansion teams of 1967 (as the Minnesota North Stars).
They are the first NHL team to be based out of Texas.
They improved by 38 points in their 1996-97 season.
The team’s owners founded the Dallas Stars Foundation, which targets issues in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
They beat Dominik Hasek to win their first Stanley Cup.
They got rid of trouble making goalie Ed Belfour.
