Her performance as Desdemona in ‘Othello' was called ‘the only serious let-down' in the cast (1981).
She lost touch with her frequent co-star Matthew Garber and after his death said, ‘I wished I had picked up the phone over the years.'

Her godfather was Charles Laughton.
She made her stage debut at age four.
After retiring from show biz to concentrate on being a parent, she said, ‘I'll never go back, because you don't have to put on any make up.'
