Why he might be annoying:

His nickname was actually 'Chicko' until a typesetter dropped the 'k' from a theater program.
He got the name Chicko because he was always chasing 'chicks' (women).
He cheated on his wives.
He was a gambling addict.
His brothers had to set up a trust fund for him at the end of his life so he would be able to support himself.
He did one of the worst Italian accents in the history of acting.

Why he might not be annoying:

He formed his own dance band (1942-43). One of the band singers was Mel Torme.
Audiences liked the way he 'shot' piano keys with his index finger.
It was his persistence that took the Marx Brothers to the big time.
