The Resume

    (September 3, 1985- )
    Born in Damascus, Maryland
    CNN News anchor
    Host of CNN's Reliable Sources
Author of 'Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV' (2013)

Why he might be annoying:

He is one of the most easily parodied CNN personalities by right wing content creators.
He has a high-pitched effeminate sounding voice that lends itself to caricature from people like Mark Dice.
He denied on Twitter that he was advocating for President Trump's removal from office by the 25th Amendment by featuring guests speculating about his mental health.
He contradicted the tweet a week later, saying: 'Maybe President Trump is cool, calm and collected in person. But on Twitter, he sounds deeply troubled right now. He sounds unhinged. This is why questions about his fitness for office are so urgent.'
He took part in a tense interview with Glenn Beck that resulted in Beck pulling his mic and walking off after being pressed about his 'imploding' media company, The Blaze (Jun. 2018).

Why he might not be annoying:

While still a student, he created TVNewser, a blog about television and cable news which he later sold.
He has been subjected to a number of homophobic attacks on social media from conservatives who mistake to be gay (he's straight, married, and has one kid).
He joined The New York Times as a media reporter when he was only twenty-two.
He was named to Forbes Magazine's 30 Under 30: Media listing for three consecutive years.
He was raised a Methodist, but married into a Jewish family and has expressed the wish to raise his children in the Jewish faith.
Despite leaning left, he defended Sarah Palin's family against media coverage of an alleged 'brawl' at a snowmobile party, stating that they deserved 'the benefit of the doubt.'
