Producer
Executive producer of 'The Simpsons (1997-2001)'
    Writer for 'The Simpsons'
    Creator/executive producer/writer for 'The Pitts'
Writer for 'Top of the Heap'
Many contend 'The Simpsons' quality declined during his tenure as executive producer.
During the time he was an executive producer on 'The Simpsons,' there was an increased use of celebrity guest voices, more reliance on slapstick and lowbrow humor and the characters became more one-dimensional.
These aspects remain in the show today, although but to a lesser degree.
In addition, many episodes during his period centered around Homer, who he was portrayed as very mean spirited.
'The Pitts,' a sitcom he helped create, served as an executive producer and writer lasted only a handful of episodes.
    He dropped out of college.
He wrote material for comedian Yakov Smirnoff.
He rose to executive producer of 'The Simpsons' which opened other opportunities for him.
He received several Emmys for his involvement with 'The Simpsons.'
