Organization
    (1832- )
Founded on the campus of Yale University
Former members include Prescott Bush, George Herbert Walker Bush, George Walker Bush, William Howard Taft, John Kerry, John Heinz, Archibald McLeish, Robert McCallum, William Draper, Richard Helms, William F. Buckley, William Donaldson, Henry Luce and W. Averall Harriman
Subject of several books and conspiracy theories
It does not have as many accomplished members as the Freemasons, another similar secret organization.
It is main claim to fame is that the Bush family has been involved with it.
It gives its members nicknames, and George Bush Sr. apparently had the name that suggested he had the most sexual experience.
It claims it has possession of Geronimo's skull, and there is a long-standing rumor which says Prescott Bush and other bonesmen stole it from his grave (1918).
It is the subject of a critically ridiculed movie, 'The Skulls.'
Despite claims they are the American branch of the the Illuminati, an organization dedicated to the overthrow of church and government, both candidates in the 2004 presidential race were members of Skull and Bones.
It has been charged with conducting espionage and drug smuggling by theorists.
It seems prone to giving away information about its secret rituals.
It uses a similar logo as pirates use.
It does exist, with much evidence suggesting its existence, despite those who claim the whole thing is a fraud.
It more than likely is just a bunch of college kids screwing around.
It promises future success to its members.
It now admits women, gays and other races.
