Why she might be annoying:

    She would not license her image for inclusion in Lego's 'Women of NASA' lineup, but gave Mattel the go-ahead to create a Barbie doll in her image a year later.
    She worked on plans for a sending a human mission to Mars which (as of 2019 anyway) have yet to be fully implemented.
    When asked if she experienced any discrimination or segregation during her time at NASA, she answered '[no] because everybody there was doing research. You had a mission and you worked on it, and it was important to you to do your job and play bridge at lunch.'

Why she might not be annoying:

    She graduated from high school at 14.
    Her first husband died of an inoperable brain tumor.
    Her calculations were essential to the beginning of the Space Shuttle program.
    She calculated the emergency return trajectory for Alan Shepard's 1961 spaceflight.
    She verified the calculations for John Glenn's first American orbit of Earth.
    She computed the trajectory of Apollo 11's flight to the moon.
    She worked on the plan that saved Apollo 13's crew and brought them safely back to Earth.
    She received a standing ovation during a surprise appearance at the 89th Academy Awards.
