Later DNA tests proved Patten was not the baby's father

Her boyfriend Alfie looks much younger than his 13 years.
She said that she had sex with Alfie when she was 14 and he was 12.
She claimed she was on birth control but forgot to take it.
At least two other teenage boys came forward claiming they had sex with her and could be the baby's father.

She bears a strange resemblance to Catherine of Aragon (see photo).
The story behind her daughter's birth brought attention to the issue of teen pregnancy and pre-teen sexual activity.
Police decided not to prosecute her for statutory rape.
She did not have to go on 'Maury Povich' to determine that Alfie was not the father of her child.
Because of her story, Americans learned that 'nappies' is Brits-speak for 'diapers.'
