He paid $3,000,000 for Mark McGwire's 70th home run ball (1998) only to see Barry Bonds eclipse the record and make the ball almost devoid of value (2001).
He purchased Barry Bonds' 73rd home run ball for $450,000 (June 25, 2003).
He was sued successfully by Neil Gaiman over a co-created character.
Why he might not be annoying
His style of drawing is unique.
When working for Marvel Comics, his artistic talent improved the look of many characters.
