Why he might be annoying
Let's face it, if it weren't for heavy metal he would happily be working in a comic book store so he could have money for his Star Wars memorabilia collection.
He got poor grades in high school and dropped out of junior college.
He helped reunite Twisted Sister.
Inexplicably, he is disliked by many metal fans.
KISS, somewhat stereotypically, was his introduction to heavy metal.
He's not a musician himself.
Why he might not be annoying
He is the greatest authority on heavy metal on the planet.
He's well liked and respected by metal artists, who are not always the most agreeable bunch.
He's helped produce albums by Anthrax, Ace Frehley, Overkill, and many others.
He was a radio DJ and wrote music reviews in high schools.
He was VP of Megaforce records by age 25.
He has an excellent website.
The Jack Black character in the movie, School of Rock may have been inspired by him.
