Why Colombia might be annoying
Often misspelled Columbia because of Christopher Columbus.
It has both volcano activity and earthquakes.
Their is much soil damage due to overuse of pesticides.
It has boundary disputes with both Venezuela and Nicaragua.
It is the biggest supplier of cocaine, opium and cannabis to the U.S.
A 37½ foot anaconda was found there (1944).
Buenaventura, Colombia gets more rain each year than anywhere else in the world (265 inches).
Why Colombia might not be annoying
It is the only country in South America to have coastlines on both the North Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea.
Despite a legal system based on Spanish law, they modeled their criminal code using the U.S. model (1993).
It produces 95% of the world emerald supply.
It produces almost the entire world's supply of fustic.
Venezuela and Ecuador were part of Colombia for ten years, Panama for 84.
They transport almost 2/3 of the flowers used on Valentine's Day in the U.S,
