Why he might be annoying
During a family dinner party, he got drunk and harassed a guest, prompting his father, King Birendra, to dismiss him from the table.
An hour after his brother, Prince Nirajan, and cousin, Prince Paras, had dragged him to his room, he returned to the gathering, armed with an M16 rifle and MP5K submachine gun.
He gunned down his mother, father, sister and brother, along with several other relatives.
After the mass killing, he shot himself in the head, lingering in a coma for 3 days, while he was named King of Nepal.
Why he might not be annoying
He was skilled in karate.
He was distraught due to his mother, Queen Aishwarya, refusing consent for his marriage to Devyani Rana.
Devyani was a member of a rival family clan, leading to 'Romeo and Juliet' comparisons.
Theories persist that he was used as the scapegoat for his unpopular uncle, who eventually ascended to the throne.
