Financed Christopher Columbus' exploration campaigns
Why she might be annoying
She drove the Jews and Muslims out of her country during the 'Spanish Inquisition' in hopes of establishing a pure Catholic state.
Her Spanish colonization of every blank spot in the New World spread the Spanish Empire too far apart and left them weakened and over-extended.
Why she might not be annoying
She sponsored Christopher Columbus, which lead to the discovery of the New World.
She took an interest in Native Americans, and when they were brought back to Spain as slaves, she insisted they be put back into their homeland and set free.
She had just as much power as her husband Ferdinad.
She taught all of her children herself.
