Why they might be annoying
Ted Turner owns the team and makes them play in Turner Field.
When playing in Boston, they almost always took second fiddle to the Red Sox.
They lost the pennant to the Dodgers on the final day of the season (1956).
Their attempt to move to Atlanta in 1965 was halted by a court order, forcing them to play one more season in Milwaukee.
Although being located in Atlanta, they were in the National League western division for almost 30 years.
Ted Turner decided to become their manager after a 17-game losing streak. His tenure as manager lasted one game (a 2-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates) after Commissioner Bowie Kuhn banished him from managing.
They upset many Atlanta fans after trading Dale Murphy in 1990.
They've only won one World Series (1995) since starting their amazing run in 1991.

Why they might not be annoying
They started the 1914 season in last place but managed to win the World Series after going 51-16 to end the regular season.
Babe Ruth ended his baseball career with the Braves.
Eddie Matthews became the first rookie in major league history to hit three home runs in one game (1952).
They attracted 1,826,297 fans in their first season in Milwaukee (1953).
Warren Spahn won 23 games in the 1963 season at the age of 42.
Hank Aaron, Dave Johnson and Darrel Evans all hit over 40 or more home runs in the 1973 season.
Hank Aaron became the home run champ in an Atlanta Brave uniform.
They were the first team in baseball history to reach the World Series after having baseball's worst record the season before.
They were the first team to win the N.L. West three consecutive times (1991, 1992, 1993).
They've won their division title 12 straight times.
