Why they might be annoying
It took them ten seasons to get their first winning record.
They traded Hakeem 'The Dream' Olajuwon, which kept him from finishing his career with them.
Their name causes opposing fans to taunt them with 'Houston, you have a problem.'
Murphy, one of their greatest players, has been accused of sexually abusing five of his daughters.
The broadcast of Game 5 of the NBA Finals, which the Rockets were playing, was interrupted by the O.J. Simpson car chase.
Why they might not be annoying
They unveiled a new logo on a space shuttle.
They advanced to the 1980 NBA Finals with a losing record in the regular season.
As a sixth seed, they were the lowest seed ever to win the NBA title. Along the way, they were the first team to beat four teams with more than 50 wins in the playoffs (1995).
That year, Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler, who couldn't win an NCAA title together with the University of Houston, won an NBA title together with the Rockets.
Before Robinson and Duncan, they had the original Twin Towers (Ralph Sampson and Hakeem Olajuwon).
They made a huge gamble of drafting 7'5 Chinese center Yao Ming, and it paid off.
