He may have helped plot a bombing of the Egyptian embassy in Islamabad (1995).
He and bin Laden merged al-Qaeda and the Egyptian Jihad together into one large terrorist organization (1998).
He allegedly masterminded the U.S. embassy bombing in Kenya and Tanzania (August 7, 1998).
He is charged with being involved in the destruction of the U.S.S. Cole (October 12, 2000).
He was falsely believed to have been killed in an American operation (March 2002).
