He will always be known for his role of Ralphie in the movie 'A Christmas Story.'

He won the Young Artist Award for Exceptional Performance by a Young Actor Starring in a Feature Film - Comedy or Drama, for the film 'The Dirt Bike Kid' (1984).
He beat out Wil Wheaton for the part of Ralphie in 'A Christmas Story.'
He is left handed.
He co-produced the movie 'Made' in 2001.
