While speeding, he crashed into a median, and then a palm tree, totaling his father's car (August 26, 2007).
His friend and passenger, John Graziano, sustained serious injuries and was left in a permanent vegetative state as a result of the crash.
A post accident test revealed his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit (not to mention, he was a minor at the time).
Prior to the accident, he had been pulled over for speeding on several occasions.
He was sentenced to eight months in country jail (May 9, 2008).
On 'Hogan Knows Best,' his parents were shocked when they found a condom belonging to him in their house.
His nickname is 'Nicky Noodle.'

He placed highly in several Drift series racing events.
His sister, Brooke, defended him against errant media reports.
His case ignited a healthy debate on what the appropriate punishment should be for a minor responsible for causing a serious car accident.
He plead no contest to the charges against him, saving taxpayer money by not going to trial.
He decided not to become a professional wrestler after initially expressing interest in doing so.
