Why they might be annoying
They are one of the leading bands in the 'National Socialist' (Nazi) black metal scene.
They have changed their name three times since forming. They began as Supporation, then Crystaline Darkness, then Nocturnal Mortum, and finally Nokturnal Mortum.
Vocalist Knjaz Varggoth is a member of a side band called Aryan Terrorism.
They write many lyrics with anti-Christian and white supremacist themes.
In the bands early days, they were involved in church burnings.
They speak out against Christianity and other races in interviews.
They wear the traditional black metal 'corpse paint' and spiked leather outfits.
Why they might not be annoying
Unlike many other black metal bands, they are not afraid to use keyboards in their music.
Their music is unique in that it contains folk elements and instrumentation.
They put the 'k' in their name to avoid confusion with any other bands that might have the same name.
They are seen as a major band in modern black metal.
